MARATHON Training PLAN

COVID-19 has single handedly taken away many athletes’ dream race for 2020. Here at ikonix Coaching we are looking towards a stronger, better and faster future. In line with this we have created a custom marathon programme designed to facilitate your ‘A’ race in 2021 as your best one yet, which we hope will be The Dubai Marathon.

THE DETAILS:

A 14 -15 week marathon programme (must have your own Training Peaks account) designed and overseen by ikonix co-founder Luke Mathews. It is recommended that you have completed (at a minimum) a half marathon and have a decent base level of run fitness to get the most out of the plan. It is a great opportunity to run your first marathon, better a previous time or get a group of friends together to share (and love) the pain.

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • Bi-weekly group “ask the coach” Zoom calls with Luke

  • Weekly strength & mobility videos (via YouTube) specifically for long distance runners, hosted by Luke

  • Guided plan up to race day (including race nutrition advice)

  • Meet up runs

  • Dedicated Whatsapp group for all athletes

  • PUMA sport gear give aways throughout the programme

  • Don’t worry if Dubai Marathon doesn’t go ahead, we will still set a date and run the distance together :) or there could be other optional races close by!

COST:
